Question : -

Show that if z = exp (i (theta)), then

(i) cos (theta)= (1/2)

[z + (1/z)]

(ii) sin (theta)= (1/2i)[z - (1/z)]

and find an expression for

8 cos³(theta)sin(theta) in terms of sin 4(theta) and sin 2(theta)
